The Slaughter of the Innocents

Today is the Catholic feast day of The Holy Innocents. These infant boys are the first martyrs of the church because they died to protect the life of their Savior. Herod was so angry that the Wise Men did not return to inform him about the location of this new king, Jesus, that he ordered a slaughter of all first born males. “Herod, when he saw that he had been tricked by the wise men, was in a furious rage, and he sent and killed all the male children in Bethlehem and in all that region who were two years old or under, according to the time of which he had ascertained from the wise men” (Matthew 2:16).

Today, innocent children die each day at the hands of abortionists. Please pray your rosary for an end to the evil of abortion.
