Pope Francis explained that saints are 'people who belong entirely to God.' Citing the Mass' reading from the Book of Revelation, he noted that the saints are signed with 'the seal of God.' This means that 'in Jesus Christ we have truly become children of God.'
" 'Are we aware of this great gift? Do we remember that in baptism we have received the ‘seal’ of our heavenly Father and that we have become his children?'
" 'Here is the root of the vocation to holiness!' "

I don't think the Pope is following the false prophet Mdm but there is no doubt the Holy Spirit is guiding him to give this timely reminder to the faithful who seem to have forgotten this 'great gift.' Looks like heaven has just given the 'thumbs up' to Catholic defenders of the faith and a 'thumbs down' to the Seal of the Living God promoters.
ReplyDeleteaccording to the Very Fallible pocketsketch.
Delete1) "no doubt", are you so sure of yourself? How exactly do you conclude that from this homily that the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Holy Trinity is guiding the one called the false prophet by the same Holy Trinity.
2) "Looks like heaven has just given the 'thumbs up'" Maybe to you, but not to me. Again you think you know what is going on in heaven! How modest of you pocketsketch.
3) Let me point out that the pope is obviously misunderstanding holy scripture, which to me would be the very opposite conclusion, that the Holy Spirit is NOT guiding him. The reading from Revelations Ch 7 says that before the land and sea will be damaged the followers must receive the mark, the seal of the living God. Thus it certainly can not mean the saints who have lived throughout history! No Way. It is clearly speaking of a time, during the end times of course.
My gosh if you would just stop spreading such lies. Are you a part of the group behind this evil plot to desecrate the church? Are you a mason or a free mason? -Robert
“For every one who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does what is true comes to the light, that it may be clearly seen that his deeds have been wrought in God.” (John 3:20-21)
ReplyDeleteRobert, you want to know how I can be so sure the Holy Spirit speaks through and guides the Holy Father? This is not the first time you pose this question. May I suggest you read the Gospel of Luke, chapter 24 which describes Jesus appearing to the two disciples on the road to Emmaus and finishes with the Ascension.
ReplyDeleteJesus said to them, “O foolish men, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into His glory?” And beginning with Moses and all the prophets, He interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning Himself.”(Luke 24:25-27)
Jesus said to His apostles before His Ascension, “These are my words which I spoke to you, while I was still with you, that everything written about Me in the law of Moses and the prophets and the psalms must be fulfilled.” Then He opened their minds to understand the scriptures, and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead . . . You are my witnesses . . . Behold I am sending the promise of My Father upon you . . . stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”(Lk.24:44-49)
Jesus opened His heart to them, that very heart which was pierced and poured out like water after His death on the Cross. He revealed to them the full plan of God’s history of salvation. What was once obscure now became clear to them. After their encounter with the risen Saviour the disciples, (Emmaus) expressed in amazement, “Were not our hearts burning within us while He spoke to us on the way and opened the scriptures to us?” (Lk. 24: 32)
These are the witnesses, the apostles and the disciples, who walked with Jesus throughout His public mission and were sent out on the great commission before His Ascension. The Holy Spirit was the promise sent to them that they might go out and spread the Good News. Pope Francis is their legitimate successor. He is the anointed one of God, chosen to shepherd the Church Christ established. Never forget the prayer of Jesus in John 17. The apostles and their successors are consecrated in the truth. (Jn.17:17) Therefore, it follows, Catholics can put their complete trust and confidence in the Pope whenever he preaches and interprets Sacred Scripture for us.
Sadly, Robert, the reason you are so flummoxed is because Mdm has hardened your heart against Pope Francis. Her hysterical claims have blinded you to truth. You are deaf to all his words because she has taught you to be suspicious of him. Her constant attacks on the Church have weakened the foundations of your faith. Stop reading and promoting this false seer. You don’t need her. You need to ‘hold fast to what you have until the Lord comes.’ (Rev. 2:25) Hold fast to the whole deposit of faith that has been passed on from the beginning of salvation history. Mdm is just another Jezebel proposing a false god.
well I was happy to read your quotes from holy scripture. we can't go wrong when we stick with the bible. you know we've traveled together a ways too. Yet neither of us is willing to budge from what we believe. I read the warning, and accept it. Clearly it does warn that he is the false prophet, but it does not weaken my faith. I also make my own supporting or opposing conclusions based on other material or observations. If I really witnessed pf following the last popes, that I was familiar with, I'd find it harder to accept the warning, however he seems to be breaking away from the path they have followed. The previous popes have followed the path of St Peter, but this pope is not following them. You are completely confident in him. so here we are. -Robert.
ReplyDeleteYes, Robert, we certainly have traveled together, albeit a rather rough road. As for your comment, "We can't go wrong when we stick with the bible." we disagree again. There are so many Christians denominations, today, who all make this claim yet they can't agree on the most basic doctrines such as whether or not baptism is necessary for salvation. There is great division in the family of God because everybody thinks the Holy Spirit speaks through them and directs them to believe this or that interpretation of Sacred Scripture. This mass confusion and division is hardly what Jesus prayed for in John 17: "Holy Father, keep them in you name that you have given me, so that they may be one just as we are."
ReplyDeleteJesus promised His disciples He would not leave them orphans and would send "the Spirit of truth" to guide them into all truth. (Jn.16:13) That is why the Catholic Church Jesus sent the Advocate to guide, is called the Temple of the Holy Spirit (CCC 737), the pillar and bulwark of truth.(1Tim.3:15) The W2C website, however, never ceases to proclaim the opposite. Yes, the pilgrim Church will endure great trials and persecution. There will be a mass apostasy but it will not be Pope Francis leading the world to damnation. He will not introduce a Satanic liturgy and force the faithful to partake of the chalice of the serpent. The Antichrist might institute such but not The Vicar of Christ. It is nowhere prophesied in the Word of God that he will be the false prophet. These accusations are from enemies of the Church who misinterpret and do not understand divine revelation because the Spirit of truth is not with them. These cults with their lies steal hundreds of thousands of Catholics yearly.
Many of these denominations were founded by false prophets who claimed to see visions and hear voices too. Mdm is just following a long line of these self-proclaimed messengers from God. They are wrong; they were deceived just like you Robert have been deceived. The Catholic Church remains the House of God, the beloved Bride of Christ, and will never be the temple of Satan.
Robert, trust in the Lord who always keeps His promises.
I strongly agree with your words "everybody thinks the Holy Spirit speaks through them" and that this is a problem. I sort of agree with you over the bible, but would say we can't go wrong unless we misinterpret it's words. It's true that division is a given, and one Jesus even assures us of.
DeleteFor a moment I'm speaking with NO reference to MDM: the world has drifted far from God. It is obvious to anybody who has an open mind and is not confounded in sin. When people fall far away from God they do become depraved and begin to believe and follow madness. But I'm talking about a person of reasonable and sound faith, that they can see the evil spreading due to man's lack of diligence. It's exactly like the picture Jesus paints in the story about the Bridegroom going away and coming back: what do the servants do when he is away? Dot they stay prepared for his return? Looking around with soundness of spirit or soul, one can see we are slowly falling to depravity. Listen to the general public opinions online, how many do not believe at all in God, or religion. How many doubt the bible, treating it as if it were written by men as a work of fiction. How many question the church? Now I witness a strong push for women ordination. These are all poisons which originate from the deceiver. Again, this is independent observation, not referring to MDM. Nonetheless this is reality. I could go on by saying consider the many abortions, consider the way people dress. Depravity.
I know you can not accept that the notion of a false prophet. For me it is just a matter of recognizing the plan and attack of the serpent. His greatest goal is the faithful, for he knows he already has the unfaithful. Surely he wants to poison the church. This is where the warning comes in. But you can't accept this. God knows all, and sees all. He warns the faithful, but many refuse to hear. They refuse to hear because there is a problem with them, pride, which cuts off the work of the Holy Spirit. Anyway we part ways because you can't accept that evil could reach the Vatican, that Jesus would not permit it, but I can, because He speaks to mankind. He is protecting His faithful. That is the only reason I can believe it. He does intervene. He promises too that when they begin to cut into the true faith they will be punished. You will see this play out. But keep in mind that by opposing God's will you fall into the grip of the serpent. I know you will despise reading those words but it is the truth. If you reject God's word or will, be it the bible the church or the final prophecy you are in danger. I warn you, just like you warn me that if I do not maintain faith in pf I'm in dangers such as excomunication. So we keep circling back to the same points.
But please read this again and consider that much is based on simple observation of the world and not that my words follow MDM entirely. They are just the piece of the puzzle that makes it all make sense to me. They are God's life preserver to the faithful, not a plot to take anybody away from the faith. That is why I said, as long as the church continues to proclaim the truth I keep on worshipping. -Robert
if I may say more, but hopefully not bringing any contention over MDM. God's ways are always mysterious until we ponder and find a wisdom deeper than we expect. Take for example the chosen people: God's chosen people fall to slavery for 400 years! (hope my facts are right) The chosen people of God slaves to a pagan nation! Who would believe such a story? Next He leads them out but they become a lesson in faith, or lack of faith. He leads them to the promised land but it is inhabited by a mighty people. Surely He could have provided a promised land with no people. It's all a reflection of a higher wisdom. Jesus the son of God is born to modest wandering parents! They can not even find a room. The salvation of mankind born in the most humble of circumstances. Yet the wise find him and the evil are already seeking his blood. We are blessed to belong to such a rich almost unbelievable heritage. The early Christians were martyred for a faith based on word of mouth and personal witness alone.
ReplyDeleteMaybe these were just random or irrelevant points? -Robert
Robert, May I suggest our difference is that I believe that the coming of the Holy Spirit never ceases and He continues to guide the Church through all trials of distress and evil, whereas you think the Holy Spirit is no longer active within the hierarchy. To use an analogy, the Holy Spirit has jumped ship, abandoned the barque of Peter and is throwing the faithful who are scrambling for their lives in rough waters a "life preserver. " This lifeline to heaven just happens to be Mdm.
ReplyDelete“Watch carefully then how you live, not as foolish persons but as wise, making the most of the opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore, do not continue in ignorance, but try to understand what is the will of the Lord.” (Ephesians 5:15-17)
but free will always endures for it is God's fundamental will for mankind. Thus God does not force a pope to be faithful and true. Any man, no matter if he is a priest a cardinal or even the pope, still has free will. The Holy Spirit only acts upon a soul living in the truth. For example, if I confess my sins and live well for a month the Holy Spirit may come to me and guide me, however if I suddenly turn to sin He will stop working within me. The men who make up the church each has to answer, there is no automatic guarantee for their actions. Thus we must still judge all trees by their fruit. In the matter of the scandal we saw that priests can bear rotten fruit, and even though they seemed in public like honest shepherds it is not guaranteed. -Robert
DeleteYes, Robert, the Church continues to proclaim the truth. Nevertheless, your "seer" has said the Church has disintegrated. Here are a few words for you to reflect on about the relationship between Christ and His Church and the work of the Holy Spirit from Blessed John Paul II in his encyclical, "Redemptoris missio." (Emphasis added.)
ReplyDelete“Christ not only proclaimed the kingdom, but in Him the kingdom itself became present and was fulfilled. This happened not only through His words and His deeds: “Above all, . . . the kingdom is made manifest in the very person of Christ, Son of God and Son of Man, who came 'to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many' (Mk 10:45).” The kingdom of God is not a concept, a doctrine, or a program subject to free interpretation, but it is before all else a person with the face and name of Jesus of Nazareth, the image of the invisible God. If the kingdom is separated from Jesus, it is no longer the kingdom of God which He revealed. The result is a distortion of the meaning of the kingdom . . .”
“Likewise, NO ONE MAY SEPARATE THE KINGDOM FROM THE CHURCH.”
“It is true that the Church is not an end unto herself, since she is ordered towards the kingdom of God of which she is the seed, sign and instrument. Yet, while remaining distinct from Christ and the kingdom, the Church is indissolubly united to both. Christ endowed the Church, his Body, with the fullness of the benefits and means of salvation. THE HOLY SPIRIT DWELLS IN HER, enlivens her with his gifts and charisms, sanctifies, guides and constantly renews her.” (John Paul II, ency. Redemptoris missio, 1990)
I do not believe there was a message that said the church has disintegrated.
DeleteI'm confused, you highlight "no one may separate the kingdom from the church" but then the quote continues: "while remaining distinct from Christ and the kingdom the church is indissolubly united to both." I totally agree with the church for 2000 years and all that has been revealed and understood. I'm only warned about what will be coming from her soon. I know you are trying to say it can't happen. but here we stand with our separate opinions. your quotes may be true but the question will be what will the true church be when the great apostasy commences? There will endure many who will not accept a false doctrine, thus the church will endure, but it will not be adhering to the false prophet or the antichrist. do not try to prove the future one way or another based on words. Only God knows the future. the definition of the church is for God alone, for if part of the church is false and part true, think again about the scandal, are the false actually a part?
see you got me thinking in new direction. the true church is the true believers. if some catholics do not believe in the true presence of Jesus in comunion or do not believe in the sacrament of penance I propose they are not true the are not the church at all even though they may come each sunday. Only God can truly reveal who in fact the true church is. We can only judge with some accuracy by looking back, that is why the church only proclaims the sainthood or validates a vision after it is thoroughly examined. see the church is still human. Only God is God,and as I say you can not truly, and i mean TRULY define the church, because you can not know the souls of the pope or the men and women lay people that make it up. So this kind of keeps me from following your points to a significance that I might question MDM messages. I know I'm a stubborn bugger right! lol -Robert. ps/ tired right now.
Robert, in reply to your one comment which said, "I do not believe there was a message that said the church has disintegrated."
ReplyDelete“My daughter, the hatred shown to you will come from two sides, as a direct result of the disintegration of My Church on Earth. One side will be those who say they represent My Church on Earth, but who are anything but, for they represent another doctrine. The other side will be My loyal servants, who will not believe you.” [Jesus] April25, 2013
please consider that the word "will" and "has" are very different. The actual quote speaks of hatred from two sides of the church, the false who represent another doctrine, and the loyal servants who will not believe. I think it is very hard at this moment to see that the false doctrine has been revealed, or that the church has disintegrated -yet. Note, I take the word disintegration to be a substitution for the prophecy of the 'great apostasy' As I said, I truly believe neither has happened yet but that we are still at the point of being warned that it is coming. -Robert. I can see how those words would startle somebody who is already in great doubt about the messages.
Deletepart 2) just to add further support for my previous reply: if you see the latest message Oct 31 2013, Jesus speaks again: "in these times of paganism and when My Church will fall away from the True Faith" see it seems clear to me that we are still being warned of what is still yet to come. It is just beginning to unfold. By saying "when My Church will fall away" He is essentially saying it is still in tact, thus it has not yet disintegrated, or in other words the great apostasy has not occurred. -Robert.
Delete“Many Popes have been prisoners in the Holy See surrounded by Masonic groups who do not represent God.” [Jesus] May 7, 2012.
ReplyDelete“They hate God and have spent fifty years spreading untruths about the Mercy of God.” [Jesus] May 7, 2012.
“Their works have led to the OOLLAPSE OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.” [Jesus] May 7, 2012.
I think everyone can understand disintegration of the Catholic Church and collapse of the Catholic Church means the same thing. In other words, it is a fait accompli.
Sorry for the typo error. Mdm's message should read, "Their works have led to the COLLAPSE OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH."
ReplyDeletei read the entire message (May 7 2012) and will say that I'm not comfortable with it. It clearly implies existing damage to the church and that one line "led to the collapse" is a bit vague and I can see how you can find trouble with it. So I'm agreeing with you on this point. I was pretty sure such a statement did not exist but these words you found are gray enough that I will not argue against it.
DeleteHowever, I also consider the part of the message where Jesus says He will lead the church following Pope Benedict. This is an important detail, for me, that this message came when Benedict was still pope and Jesus is saying He will lead the '??'collapsed??' church afterwards? interesting... -Robert
“They {evil sect of Free Mason within the Vatican} HAVE DRIVEN THE TRUE DOCTRINE from the CATHOLIC CHURCH and in its place, a lukewarm, watered down version HAS BEEN force fed to Catholics, over the last forty years.” [Mother of Salvation] Jan.18, 2012
ReplyDelete“Wake up children to the Truth. This wicked plan {evil sect of Free Masons within the Vatican} HAS CHANGED the fundamental authenticity of the Catholic Doctrine, over the years.” [Mother of Salvation] Jan.18, 2012
It is abundantly clear that Mdm contradicts her own messages and there are huge inconsistencies. The hallmark of a prevaricator is that they change their stories.
